Whenever this light goes on, it means that the vehicle is running solely on battery power. If the problem continues and your charging system fails, the battery won`t be able to recharge and it will soon run down, leaving you with a dead battery.
There are many reasons why the car battery light might come on, but the most common reasons are: An old car battery. Car battery connections that are corroded. Car battery cables that are misconnected. Dying alternator.
The battery charge warning lamp may be displayed in the Instrument Cluster with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B11DB-87 stored in the Body Control Module (BCM). Cause: This may be caused by a blown Battery Monitoring System (BMS) fused harness. A pin-point test is available to help diagnose DTC B11DB-87.
Attach the voltmeter`s positive lead (often red) to the battery`s positive terminal. Attach the negative lead (often black) to the negative terminal. Once you have that set up, all you need to do is check the voltmeter. If it measures between 12.4 and 12.7 volts, your battery is in good condition.
If this warning lamp lights up while the engine is running, it means that there is a problem in the charging system, usually that the battery has gone bad or the alternator has stopped working. Sometimes if your car or truck won`t start, you have a bad battery, one that can`t hold a charge.
It is unsafe to drive with your car battery light on. Issues that activate your car battery light, like a defective battery or faulty alternator, can cause your car to lose power. In these instances, your car won`t operate as it normally would.
What should you do if the battery warning light comes on? The first thing you should do is turn off any electrical systems in your car that you don`t need. That means turning off the stereo, air conditioning, heated seats and anything you may be charging in the car.
One of the most common reasons the battery light comes on and the car battery stops charging is because of corrosion. Whether the corrosion is on the battery cables or cable terminals, it is still a problem that needs to be addressed. Another common culprit for the battery not charging is a problem with the alternator.
If you see one of these alerts, your iPhone has detected liquid in the Lightning port or on the Lightning cable or Lightning accessory. To protect your iPhone and the accessory, charging and accessory connection are unavailable until the Lightning port and the accessory are dry.
Check battery life & use

Open your phone`s Settings app. Under Battery, see how much charge you have left, and about how long it will last. For details, tap Battery. For a graph and list of battery use, tap Battery usage.

Make sure you have inserted the charging cable firmly into your laptop`s charging port. Then double-check its connection to the wall outlet—consider trying another socket in case the current one isn`t working. If you`re plugged into a power strip, try connecting directly to the wall outlet instead.
If your phone is bulging or swelled up, stop using it right now. If you notice your phone bulging in the middle or getting very hot on or off the charger, that`s a sign of a bad battery too, but you also need to stop using it right away and take it somewhere that a tech can look at it.
Another common problem that can cause the charging system to fail is a broken alternator belt or one that is worn so bad it slips badly. If the alternator works properly but the belt doesn`t spin it fast enough, the voltage output can drop and cause the system to act as though the alternator doesn`t work.
LOSS OF POWER. Of course, losing power is the number one symptom of charging system failure. You might experience problems with dim or flickering lighting inside cabin or your headlights may become dimmer too. Certainly you`ll not be able to start the car if you lose power totally.
A Range Rover charging system fault often relates to the alternator or battery. Symptoms include dimmed lights, power loss, or warning messages. Check battery health, alternator operation, and wiring. A professional mechanic should address persistent issues for proper diagnosis and repair.
There can be several reasons why your mobile phone battery is not charging. Some of the most common causes include a faulty charger, a damaged charging port, or a drained battery. Additionally, software issues, such as a corrupted operating system, may also prevent your phone from charging properly.

Why am I getting warning messages in my 2006 Jaguar XK8
ANSWER : Hello. If you had gotten this warning message along with an overheating condition then I would be a little mindful about a possible cooling system issue. These can come and go sporadically if the issue is something like a thermostat. If the coolant is full and nothing was found then it may be fine to drive for now but I would keep a close eye on the temperature gauge when this occurs. If the engine is not actually getting hot then the issue may be with the electrical system and not the cooling system. If you are going to have this repaired, consider YourMechanic, as a certified mechanic can come to you to [diagnose why you are getting these warning lights] https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/warning-light-is-on-inspection

No coolant in the reservoir. Seen low coolant message. I added 2 quarts of 50/50 coolant. Still getting the message. How much coolant doe it need?
ANSWER : Hi there. For the coolant light to go out, you would need to have the coolant between the low line and the full line for the light to go out. If the coolant is low and keeps on being low, then look for any signs of coolant leaks. You may have to use a coolant pressure tester to pressurize the reservoir to allow the leak to be found.

If you need further assistance with the coolant being low and the warning light being on, then seek out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you.

Keep getting Battery saver mode on my message screen and i replaced the battery like the dealer said.. message came back on?
ANSWER : Hello. A battery saver mode light can sometimes be set off by an issue with the battery, but it is also often set off if a problem occurs with the alternator, such as low or excessive output from a failed voltage regulator.

I would check the alternator to make sure that it is in proper functioning order, as an alternator issue can not only cause problems with the vehicle, it could also cause damage to the battery.

If you’d like to get this repaired, feel free to contact a certified mechanic who can diagnose the cause of the battery light firsthand and replace the alternator if necessary.
