Put a test light across the power leads at the radio. If there is power, and you have a good ground, you either need a new radio or the lead isn`t making good contact t the plug. If not, check for power ar the fuse. If there is power there, the wire is bad between the fuse and the radio.
Satellite offers a quality of sound that is clearer and will also be louder at the same setting. It will provide you a sound that is definitely superior to what you can find through AM/FM stations. The satellite broadcast, however, is designed to work only in a given location, such as your car or home.

If your radio is turning on but there is no sound. First check radio functions, be sure you have an audio source selected like Radio. If using AUX, USB or BT AUDIO be sure you have a device connected to the correct input. Be sure the radio is not Muted.
Not all channels are created equally. Some channels are allowed to sound better than others. At their best, music channels on a satellite radio system offer about half the bandwidth of a local FM radio station signal. There just isn`t enough room for numerous higher fidelity feeds.
A standard AM-FM radio in your car receives signals from ground-based transmitting towers. On the other hand, a satellite radio receives its signals from geostationary satellites in space.
Connect SiriusXM Car Kit via an AUX Input

Most factory stereos have an auxiliary input. You can buy an adapter kit with an AUX wire that will serve as a direct connection between your factory stereo and a satellite receiver unit.

Use your FM Direct Adapter

If your car radio does not have an “AUX IN” or “LINE IN” jack, the SiriusXM FM Direct Adapter provides a wired connection between your radio and your car radio.

Uconnect also provides you with access to SiriusXM Guardian Services, a suite of connected vehicle services and applications provided to you exclusively by Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services Inc.

Press and hold the audio system`s volume/power knob for about 3 seconds or until the system resets. Press and hold down the audio system`s volume/power knob for at least 7 seconds.
The most likely cause of your problems is a blown fuse. Fuses are designed to be the first thing to break, to protect your electrical components. If your car radio fuse keeps blowing, don`t be tempted to replace it with a bigger fuse; you`ll risk blowing your stereo.

My back up camera, navigation and radio not working in my 2010 Toyota Camry after disconnecting the battery
ANSWER : First thing I notice is you say the 120 amp fuse was blown. That requires a substantial electrical short to blow. If you disconnect the positive side battery cable and touched any metal part of the car – even for an instant – you may have created that short. Whenever disconnecting the battery, always disconnect the negative cable first. With that large of an electrical short, it is possible that the internal power amplifier of the head unit may have shorted. With any large electrical short, the power spike can easily effect any electrical component in the vehicle. Some are more sensitive than others and will not withstand even a momentary short. It is also possible there is a software issue with the head unit. If you want to retain the original unit, then a trip to your local Toyota dealership for a diagnosis is the best thing to do. Another option is to try a reputable stereo repair and installation shop to explore options of repairing or replacing the existing unit.

My dash board don’t work my front light work when I change my light into high beam and my back window won’t go down
ANSWER : As unfortunate as it is, your vehicle would be considered flood damaged. Diagnosing electrical problems in a flood damaged vehicle is nearly impossible. This would take many hours or even days to determine which wiring harnesses and circuits have been affected. Then nearly all of the wiring under the dash would likely require replacement as well as many sensors and switches. On a BMW vehicle, the amount of wires and switches are likely more than that of a lower end vehicle. Due to the inefficiency in cost, you would likely be able to purchase another BMW like yours for less than what it would cost to fix your car. Many insurance companies would consider this type of damage to total out the vehicle unfortuantely.

Radio Fault
ANSWER : Hi Kritesh. It sounds like the stereo amplifier in your vehicle has failed internally, lost power, lost ground, or lost signal from the radio. Perform a quick check of the radio functions; change stations, adjust volume, etc… If all of these are showing proper changes on screen, then the problem definitely lies in the amplifier area. Using an electrical wiring diagram, locate the power source and ground for the amplifier and check with a digital volt ohm meter; repair as necessary. Based on my experience with Toyota & Lexus, I’ve found that the amplifier fails much more often than the radio. I suggest having a qualified technician perform an inspection to avoid replacing unnecessary parts. If available in your arear, Your Mechanic has several available technicians that can assist you with a radio has no sound inspection.

Windshield wipers stopped working. They’ll suddenly stop working then suddenly start working again. Has been happening for a week.
ANSWER : The problem you are describing likely stems from an intermittent electrical fault in the wiper circuit. The windshield wiper system uses a small electric motor to move the wiper arms that you see on the windshield. That electric motor is controlled through a switch, relay, fuse, and wiring. One, or more, of those electrical components has failed although it is also possible that the mechanical arms are binding (seized, if the lubricant has dried out) thus causing the electric circuit to the motor to overload. Regardless of the underlying fault, if you request a non functioning wiper diagnostic/repair, the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Radio only works through steering wheel controls
ANSWER : It sounds like the radio unit in your vehicle may have partially failed to where the controls no longer work. I would recommend having your radio inspected by a qualified professional. This inspection may involve the removal of the radio and some sort of bench testing with a high tech scan tool or machine of some kind that is used specifically for the testing of automotive radio equipment. This electrical inspection may also include using a digital multimeter to test certain wires that connect to your radio that may control the use of the buttons on the face of the radio. If the inspection shows that your radio controls have shorted out, replace the radio if necessary to regain this function in your vehicle.

Lights, radio, windows not working, SRS light on, car runs very rough
ANSWER : This is likely either a dead battery or a battery connection problem. Try checking the battery ground (black cable opposite end of the battery connection) to be sure is properly connected to the chassis of the car. An intermittent ground or simply a weak battery can cause the dimming of the lights and loss of power as you describe. If you need guidance by an expert, a certified technician from YourMechanic can come to your car’s location to diagnose the loss of power and let you know what should be repaired.

Which radio will work in my vehicle?
ANSWER : If you have a control knob on the console, you most likely have command. The most accurate way to determine if you have command is to call the dealership and give them your VIN. They can decode the vin and tell you what options your vehicle has. They will also be able to tell you if a new radio and NAV unit will need to be programmed for use in your particular vehicle. If you want other options, besides the factory unit, Crutchfield sells radios and installation kits for your vehicle. A local car audio shop can also provide you with different radio options and can install any radio you purchase. If you’d like a second opinion from a certified mechanic in person, consider YourMechanic, to diagnose the issue with your radio and suggest the best fix from there.
