It would depend on the bumper you have now. There are many levels of different bumpers for vehicles between the years 1997 and 2000. There were changes in front lights and valances in the front. The front bumper cover supports the car`s grille, while the rear bumper cover may include the license plate mounting area.
Plastic is the preferred material for modern car bumpers for several reasons. First and foremost, plastic is much lighter and more aerodynamic than metal, which improves the car`s fuel efficiency. Plastic is also easier to shape, which is useful during both the manufacturing and bumper repair process.
Bumpers today

They are no longer made of steel and rubber, but of a plastic outer fascia over a lightweight, impact-absorbing polystyrene foam core.

What types of plastics are used in modern bumpers? Car manufacturers use a variety of plastics to make bumpers. The most common include polycarbonates, polypropylene, polyamides, polyesters, polyurethanes, and thermoplastic olefins or TPOs; many bumpers contain a combination of these different materials.

Steel bumpers can significantly increase the severity of the damages in an accident, likely resulting in the victims of the other vehicles incurring much worse injuries. This material is much less giving in the event of an accident, which means that the extent of damage will be far worse.

Vintage cars have shiny metal bumpers made of steel while modern cars will often have plastic bumpers that match with the panels and fenders of the vehicle. The auto manufacturers shifted to making plastic bumpers since 1973.
When a car hits something at a low speed, the bumper will press backward to use the crumple zone to soften the impact as the foam and fenders absorb the energy. The crumpling of the bumper, fender, and foam limits the amount of damage that can happen to the car and the people inside of it.
Bumper ads are a short video ad format designed to allow you to reach more customers and increase awareness about your brand by using a short, memorable message. With videos of 6 seconds or less, bumper ads let you reach people with bite-sized messages, while providing a minimal impact on their viewing experience.

What can i do about vibration on 3.0 ford ranger? 2009 Ford Ranger
ANSWER : Hi – there could be several causes of this vibration and noise, depending on the conditions under which they occur. If simply cranking the engine produces noise and vibration, the motor or transmission mounts may have gone bad, and engine is touching some part of the chassis. If the noise and vibration only occur while moving or accelerating, there may be a driveshaft of CV joint (if 4WD) problem. I would recommend an inspection of the truck by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will come to your location, diagnose this problem, give you an accurate assessment of damage and cost estimate for repairs.
