Typical vehicles have between three and four motor mounts depending on their size and the stability of their engine. Certain cars may have four mounts due to how the engine is positioned relative to its other car body components and vice versa.
Isuzu Motors Ltd.

(Japanese: いすゞ自動車株式会社, Hepburn: Isuzu Jidōsha Kabushiki-Kaisha), commonly known as Isuzu (Japanese pronunciation: [isɨᵝzɨᵝ], /iˈsuzu/), is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan.

Torque Strut Mount`s purpose is to secure the engine to the chassis and soften vibration from the engine and transmission under load and when coming to an abrupt stop, making the ride smoother for the driver and passengers.
Today, Isuzu`s common-rail diesel technology, which is durable, economical, and easy to maintain, has cemented its position as the world`s leading diesel engine and commercial vehicle manufacturer.
Although Isuzu has partnered with many different manufacturers over the years—including GM, Toyota, and Subaru at various times—the company is best described as an independent business venture, rather than a subsidiary of another company.
Tighten the engine mount to body nuts to 66 N.m (49 lb ft).
Engines in mainstream cars and trucks typically generate 100 to 400 lb. -ft of torque. That torque is created by the pistons within an engine as they reciprocate up and down on the engine`s crankshaft, causing it to rotate (or twist), continuously.
Where To Find The Correct Manufacturer Recommended Torque Specs. The torque specs for the axle nut (and other nuts and bolts) should be listed in the dealership/shop guide provided by the manufacturer. If you can`t find that information, or if you don`t have a guide, you can find the specs in the service manual.
Torque Requirements for Common Automotive Fasteners

Light duty automotive torque applications range from 30-150 ft. lbs. Most automotive repairs fall into this range. In other words, without a torque wrench in this range, you won`t be able to complete the majority of automotive repairs.

DETERMINING TORQUE

The general equation for bolt load based on applied torque is T = KFiDb where K = torque coefficient.

Recommended Services. There are 4 mounts that you need to replace. There is a main side engine mount, a thrust front engine mount, a main transmission mount on the transmission, and a thrust transmission mount on the back of the engine and transmission assembly.

The transmission mount is one of many drivetrain mounts found on most cars and trucks. Most vehicles have two or three engine mounts and at least one, and sometimes two or more, transmission mounts.
While you don`t necessarily need to change all engine mounts at once, if you don`t replace them all, you should pay closer attention to them, as they`re likely to be the same age as the part you`re replacing.
A failing motor mount can lead to serious engine damage and will also greatly impact the performance of the vehicle. It is very unsafe to drive with a broken motor mount.

How do you replace the rear & side engine mounts without lifting out the engine? & how do you lift the engine out?
ANSWER : Hi…thank you for your questions. If required in the application, a portable engine support bar is used to support an engine during mount replacement. The support bar has lifting capability as well so that the mount can be unloaded and removed. If a particular repair application requires a "crane" (complete engine removal for instance), such are portable these days in any event. With regard to the exhaust system repair, mechanics use ramps to gain access. Six ton portable jack stands will safely support a car two feet into the air which provides more than enough access to repair or replace any exhaust system component. If you desire replacement of the mounts, please refer to YourMechanic’s motor mount replacement service page. For exhaust leaks, please use the exhaust system inspection/repair page page. Once on each of those service pages, if you click on "Get a Quote" and enter your vehicle information (year, make, model) you can obtain cost info and schedule the service. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

How many transmission mounts are there in an sl55 amg and are they the same mounts as the front engine mounts?
ANSWER : Sometimes the way they are labeled is confusing. In a car like yours, where the engine is mounted front to rear, there are three mounts. The two in the front on either side usually look similar to each other, but not identical. The rear mount at the tail of the transmission will look entirely different and makes the third point of the plane. Many times the transmission mount will be referred to as a rear motor mount in parts literature. If you need too have your mounts inspected or replaced, you can contact Your Mechanic.they can send a technician to your home or office to replace your motor mounts right there on the spot.

I have a 2010 camry. I just recently replaced the engine with a 2014 camry engine. Now I have Four engine lights on. I replaced on
ANSWER : If you swapped the engine from a vehicle that is 4 years newer than the car is then you are going to have electrical and sensor incompatibilities that may not be able to be fixed by just a few sensor replacements. There were many changes in computer and emission related items between 2010 and 2014 engines. I would recommend having a mechanic like one from YourMechanic come to you and compare the two engines to isolate the possible differences and see if the problem can be fixed.

Can front wheel drive car engine power rear wheel drive
ANSWER : Anything is possible with enough engineering. The changes you are looking at would take major structural changes and would definitely not be an easy job. You could possibly consult a manufacturing engineer to get more details on how this could actually be carried out and whether it would be feasible.

Engine malfunction light, reduced engine power, engine powered down
ANSWER : Hi there. There are a lot of things that can cause this on your 2012 BMW M5. I usually start by scanning the computer for codes to see what comes up. If there are not codes then I load test the alternator and the battery to see if they are failing. Low voltage in the electrical system will cause this. If that is fine, then it is usually caused by a failing throttle body. I have seen a lot of these fail due to the motors in them hanging up. If the problem is only happening intermittently, this can make the issue hard to duplicate, but you can still have tests done on the car. If you are going to have this fixed, consider YourMechanic, as a certified mechanic can come to your home or office to test the vehicle and diagnose the Engine Malfunction Light.
