Check engine light

My husband has a check engine light on in his truck. The diagnostics test gave a code for fuel control module. We purchased one and took it to the dealership to have it programmed and installed. A few days later, check engine light is on again. Take it back to dealership, they say it has to learn itself and turns light off. Few days later, back on again. Dealership cleared code and it went off for a few days. Same code again. So we take it to a local mechanic and he checks all the wiring and finds no problem. Now the truck is giving several codes, including fuel control module and fuel relay c

I recently got some bad gas in my car, so I took it to my mechanic and he replaced several fuel injectors and flushed the system and also replaced the fuel pump for the car. After all of this work, unfortunately, the check engine light is still on. He read the code, said it was the fuel cap (code indicated low emissions leakage, so he immediately said it must be the fuel cap, so I bought a new one and he cleared the code and he replaced the fuel cap). However, after replacing the fuel cap, the light would go off for a while then come back on again after normal driving (usually by second day

The check engine light came on when started car. At first flashing, but then steady for drive. Car seems to be running okay. A little low on oil, but will be adding some this evening. Car has never had any problems before and the light has randomly come on in the past due to gas cap not being closed and similar things. Was a little shakey when I started it, but may be due to cold weather and icy conditions. Would like to know if this is omething I should worry about or not.

Car was in shop to recharge A/C system as it was now running hot all the time and not sometimes Hot and others Cold. Shop ended up replacing the compressor because of a leak. Found a leak problem with power steering hose, and not able to get a replacement, so they were going to shorten it as leak by clamp. When work complete I picked up and drove it home 2.9 miles, check engine light came on before I arrived home.
