The average cost for an INFINITI G35 Brake Pad Replacement is between $407 and $435. Labor costs are estimated between $99 and $125 while parts are priced between $308 and $310.
The average cost for an INFINITI Q50 Brake Pad Replacement is between $315 and $374.
Average brake life is between 25,000 and 65,000 miles, but there`s generally a considerable 40,000-mile range in play — some people will have brake pads that last beyond 80,000 miles.
In addition, tests have shown that cheap brake pads are more unpredictable in their performance than high-quality ones. This means that on any given day, you won`t be able to rely on your vehicle stopping safely. That`s a massive gamble to take, and not one we can ever recommend.
For most vehicles, front brakes typically cost more than rear brakes since they are doing more of the work. In addition, brake service can include replacing worn pads and rotors as well as installation labor costs.
Brake pads and shoes are generally thought to be good between 30,000-35,000 miles in urban use. In less demanding situations like highway driving in light traffic, brakes may last 80,000 miles or more.
So, in summary, a complete brake job means: Replacing the brake pads and rotors. Checking the caliper slides. Replacing the brake hardware. Performing a brake fluid exchange.
Edmunds says. Sport-focused, well-designed and attractively priced, the 2008 Infiniti G35 is an excellent choice for an entry-level luxury sport sedan.
The bad: The 2003 G35 was known to have problems with the climate control system, and the Bose radio and CD player, while owners of the 2007 and 2008 model years complained of the dashboard cracking. Other issues reported were defective door locks and a faulty sunroof.
Brake pads generally last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles, but some can last as long as 100,000 miles.
Brake pads can last anywhere between 30,000 and 70,000 miles. Their longevity depends on your driving style and typical driving conditions. Using data provided by Federal Highway Administration statistics on how many miles people drive annually, typical brake pads will last between 3 and 7 years.
Brake pads typically last anywhere from 60,000-150,000km, depending on your driving habits and quite a few other factors. Brake pad replacement usually costs between $100-$150 per axle – so if you can make your brake pads last longer, you can save quite a bit of money.
YOUR BRAKE PADS HAVE A PROBLEM

For example, cheaper pads don`t always last that long. They don`t have enough cushioning quality to stay in good shape. If you`ve recently switched to a low-cost product, you may be paying the price in accelerated wear and tear.

It may be tempting to choose the brake pads with the lowest cost. However, it is important to keep in mind that you really do get what you pay for. Low quality brake pads can be very noisy, wear down faster and also cause wear on other brake system parts like brake rotors – which means spending more in the long run.
The average cost for an INFINITI G37 Brake Pad Replacement is between $326 and $363. Labor costs are estimated between $99 and $125 while parts are priced between $227 and $238.
On average, it costs $100-$300 per axle to replace the brake pads in a vehicle. In other words, replacing either the front or rear brake pads would be $100-$300, and replacing both the front and rear brake pads would be $200-$600.
Typically, front brakes will be more expensive to replace since they are bigger, whereas the rear brakes are simpler in design. However, if you are noticing a high price for your rear brake pad and rotor replacement, this is likely due to the labour cost, not the cost of the parts.

Fuel pump engages. Batery good, alternator good volts, jump start helps when wont start. Temp does not matter. Intermittent?
ANSWER : Hello. Thank you for writing in. There are several reasons your vehicle may only start when jump starting. The first and most common is a build up of resistance that is causing you to need a boost of voltage to get the engine started. This may be due to poor battery cables, a bad ground connection, a poor starter solenoid, and a couple of other issues. The first thing you want to do is perform a visual inspection of the starting system. Make sure there is no corrosion build up in the battery cables. You can also check the resistance across these wires and make sure you have a solid connection between components. You then want to make sure the starter solenoid is doing its job. It is responsible for taking the small amount of electricity sent by the ignition and turning it into a huge electrical charge that is strong enough to push over the engine with the help of some gear ratios in its favor. Do some more testing, and stick to the basics before assuming its something seriously complicated.

Car won’t start batary good relay good alternator good my lights work music plays what could this be
ANSWER : Hello there. In general, when the battery is good and you have a solid power supply to accessories, more often than not the issue exists within the ignition cylinder, ignition relay or the starter / starter relay. The only way to determine this is to trace the power from each access point. If you have power upon turning the ignition switch to the starter, then the starter itself is the problem. Trace this backwards within the supply line if there is no power until you find the last point where power is supplied. If you have issues with this, you can always set up a car is hard to start inspection from one of our mobile mechanics, and they can pinpoint the source and recommend or complete the right repairs for you.

There is an 04 Dodge Ram 2500 w/ 260,000 miles on it for a good price and it’s mechanically sound, should I buy this truck?
ANSWER : As you know, with any car the life expectancy of it depends largely on the maintenance schedule the owner has maintained, the driving conditions it is subjected to, the driving habits of the owner and many other factors. Often times when a car has had internal damage or even slight cosmetic damage, it may be difficult to tell without looking closely or performing an in depth inspection. As with any vehicle, proper maintenance schedules are a key factor to prolonging the longevity of the vehicle and avoiding unnecessary costly repair bills due to neglecting proper maintenance intervals. I would suggest having an expert from Your Mechanic come to your location to perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection prior to making your purchase.

How do I know if a used car is a good deal?
ANSWER : Hi there. Buying a used car can be a daunting task with all the unknowns. There are several websites available that can provide you with a baseline value of the intended purchase. You may find what seems like a great deal until the repair bills start arriving. You are the only one that truly knows what the car is worth to you. A pre-purchase inspection is a great tool available to you to provide you with a list of potential current and future problems that may arrive expectantly. Knowing what the car needs gives you a powerful negotiating tool as well; you can decide the actual value is the current value less the needed repairs. Your Mechanic has several available technicians that can assist you with a pre-purchase inspection.

I plan on buying this vehicle but how do I know if this a good deal? 2004 Mitsubishi Galant
ANSWER : Hello – to determine the real "initial cost" of the vehicle – that is, what additional repairs must be made immediately upon purchase – the vehicle should be inspected first by a professional to determine repair and maintenance issues that must be made right away. Then the "real cost" of acquiring the vehicle is clear. I recommend a pre-purchase inspection performed by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will come to your location, diagnose this problem, and give you an accurate assessment of damage and cost estimate for repairs.

Motor mounts. Which mechanic is right?
ANSWER : If a motor mount diagnostic was performed and the mounts were confirmed to be faulty, the only safe repair strategy would have been to install dealer OEM motor mounts. If you use aftermarket parts in this application in essence you are using your time, money, and so forth to conduct an experiment with parts that, very often (not always, but VERY often) simply were not designed for your car. As a practical matter, the only way to determine if new motor mounts will resolve your issue is to install the mounts that were intended for your vehicle and those are the OEM dealer supplied mounts. If after installing the correct parts, you still have a vibration issue, at least at that point you can continue on with further diagnostics knowing that the mounts are NOT an issue. Motor mounts are not what they were years ago. Modern mounts have internal hydraulics and valving. There are many, many parts on a car which should not be repaired with aftermarket (or worse, rebuilt) parts if you desire to keep headaches to a minimum.
