My car has 2071557 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
The control actuator that moves the door to control this may have a wiring connector issue due to connections at control head and actuator wiring was miss routed and it pulls the harness connector wires too taught. You should disconnect and reroute the harness to not be too taught and do a drag test and pin connector test to make sure harness connectors are good. You may need to repair one or more connector female pins. If after repairs the actuator may need to be replaced.

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Why is my Tahoe A/C blowing hot air? An A/C blowing hot air has several possible root causes. There could be an issue with your compressor clutch, a blown fuse, a leak, or a clog in the expansion valve.
Reasons a Chevrolet Tahoe AC Isn`t Working. The most common reasons a Chevrolet Tahoe ac isn`t working are a refrigerant leak, an electrical climate control issue, or a problem with the air conditioning compressor. You may not realize there`s a refrigerant leak until the air conditioner stops blowing cold.
What`s making my Tahoe A/C put out warm air? If your car`s air conditioning isn`t blowing cold air at all (or it tries, then turns warm), you could have a clogged expansion valve, a faulty compressor clutch, a leak, or a malfunctioning fuse in the system.
Bad Mode Door Actuator

The first cause of AC only blows through defrost vents issue is a faulty door actuator. The function of the mode door actuator is to control the vents to ensure that air will be blown out properly according to the custom settings.

SOLUTION: Remove any sticks, small rocks, etc., from the grille. This simple DIY action might stop the problem of your AC blowing hot air. If not, take the car to a body shop. The system may need flushing or mechanical repair.
Here are some of the most common causes of why air doesn`t flow out of your vehicle`s vents: Your air intake is clogged, meaning that air isn`t getting in from the outside at all or isn`t circulating properly. There is a blown fuse in the ventilation system. Electrical issues such as a bad relay.
REASONS YOUR AC IS BLOWING WARM AIR

Here is why; Dirty filter: A dirty filter limits airflow through the system, eventually straining your AC and making it blow warm air. Clogged/dirty outside AC unit: Both the outdoor and indoor AC units work together to supply cool air during summer.

1. Refrigerant Leak. A car A/C blowing hot air is often the result of a refrigerant leak. Refrigerant is a liquid that circulates through your car`s A/C system, expanding and contracting as it removes heat and humidity from the cabin.
The most common reasons a Chevrolet Tahoe is overheating are a coolant leak (water pump, radiator, hose etc.), the radiator fan, or a failed thermostat.
If your air conditioner is blowing out warm air, your unit`s refrigerant levels might be low. This usually indicates a refrigerant leak in your system! If that`s the case, your air conditioner will continue to run and blow out warm air, trying to reach the temperature you set on your thermostat.
Re: Manually Turn Blend Door Actuator? its kinda hard to turn them while still on, if you take the actuator off and turn the knob, then turn the actuator and put it back on, with no bolts, and it should stay and hold the knob where you want it to be.
One of the most common reasons your car AC is blowing hot air is because of a refrigerant issue—specifically, a loss of refrigerant. This loss of refrigerant can occur either due to a leak or because your car`s refrigerant levels are too low.

Problem with AC/heater – 2005 Ford Explorer
ANSWER : Hello. The problems you describe with the front system may either be a faulty control switch or faulty vacuum motors for the air blend doors. The problem in the rear is likely the rear heater control valve, which regulates the flow of hot coolant to the rear heater core and air duct system. The clicking noise may be a broken vacuum motor for that valve (integrated in the valve).

I would recommend having a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come to your location to perform an inspection of the heater and suggest the needed repairs.

air conditioner not blowing air from dash vents, but blowing air from side vents
ANSWER : A few different items can cause the air to not blow out of the dash vents. The most common are a blend door or a control switch. The best method for the AC diagnosis feature can be found in the vehicles owners manual. I recommend having your AC checked by a qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic, to have the problem diagnosed and repaired correctly.

My heater is blowing air through the driver side air vents but is blowing cold air through the passenger side and rear console ven
ANSWER : Hi there:

Climate controlled vehicles have multiple electrical relays that open and close vents to maintain the desired temperature. In some instances, these relays can wear out overtime. However, it’s also common for debris to clog up vents (especially side vents) which may restrict the flow of cool air. The best way to determine why your AC is not working efficiently, it might be best to have a professional mechanic complete a AC inspection; so they can pinpoint the source of your issues and recommend the right repairs.

While driving defroster set to hot blows hot air as it should, while idling it is blowing cold air.
ANSWER : First, the coolant level should be checked to make sure the radiator is full. While the overflow tank may be full, the radiator cap must be taken off to check the level inside the radiator. If you find the level is very low, you have a coolant leak that must be fixed. If coolant levels are normal, an engine thermostat or heater control problem may be what you’re experiencing. Consider hiring an experienced technician like one from YourMechanic who can come out and take a closer look at your lack of heat concern to offer a more personal diagnosis.

everytime I turn my car on the ac starts to blow air even if I switch it off. it won’t blow cold air or heat.
ANSWER : Hi there. Based on your question and input, it looks like your AC control switches are damaged, causing the vents to activate even if the switch is not activated. This is sometimes an electrical problem, as it could be triggered by a damaged electrical relay. You might want to have a professional mechanic complete an AC is not working inspection, so they can determine what is causing this issue you’re experiencing and recommend the right repair.

Vents blowing cold Air. Heat inop.
ANSWER : Hey there:

If your engine is not overheating and you’ve flushed the core and coolant correctly, it’s possible that you may have an electrical issue causing the heater to not function correctly. I’d start by checking fuses and relays powering the heater core first before you begin to remove components. If the issue does not clear up after checking electrical, there may be a problem with your heater controls. You might want to purchase a service manual for your 2003 GMC to get specific locations of all control vents before you remove the dash; as it’s very complex under there and can be difficult to repair and replace. air vents not blowing air plus heater does not get hot
ANSWER : Hi there. It is possible that the blower actuator is the source of this problem, however, before recommending replacement it is possible that a different issue is causing your problems; such as a stuck vent control arm or even a minor electrical glitch. I would recommend having a professional mechanic come to your location and complete a heater is not working inspection, so they can determine the source of your problem and complete the right repairs.
