How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Generally, the outside temperature sensor is located under the front of the hood near the bottom of the car.
Most automakers place the thermistor on the front of the car behind the grille. This location exposes the instrument`s readings to re-radiated heat from the road surface.
Cars use a device called a thermistor to measure temperature, by measuring the changes in electrical current when heat is added or removed. Most thermistors are located behind the grille on the front of the car, meaning they`re fairly close to the road surface, which can affect the measurements.
The ambient temperature sensor (switch) is located either behind the front grille or in the front bumper. Its only job is to monitor air temperature (which it does through increasing/decreasing resistance in response to temperature fluctuations).
The temperature gauge, most often located on your dashboard in your vehicle, is intended to show the temperature of your engine`s coolant. This indicator will let you know if your engine`s coolant is cold, normal, or overheating.

Checking whether a widget is uninstalled
Go to Apps to check whether the widget is uninstalled. If the widget is uninstalled, reinstall it and add it to the home screen. Take Weather Widget as an example: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Weather and tap Enable.
The weather information on the taskbar is part of the new “News and interests” feature. Upon hovering over the weather information on the taskbar, a flyout pops up showing weather, news, traffic updates, and more.
The ideal engine temperature should be somewhere between 195 and 220 degrees. An engine is operating normally when the needle points at the center or near the center of the gauge.
An ambient temperature sensor is a sensor used to measure the temperature of the air that surrounds a component (the ambient temperature).
Outdoor temperature reset is a control strategy that continuously adjusts heating system supply water temperatures to compensate, providing more heat when it`s colder and less heat when it`s warmer.
The sensor that measures outside temperature is typically up behind the bumper, which is near the hot asphalt and the engine. That`s why it reads a little higher that what the temperature actually is outside. Even if it`s a little off, you should always be monitoring that gauge.
The interior temperature sensor is a vital part of the automatic air conditioning system. It is able to measure the interior temperature at any given moment and can send the data to the air conditioning system. The air conditioning system is able to adjust the temperature according to the wishes of the driver.
Figure 2 The sensor is located right in the center of the front under the radiator (red arrow).
Thermometrics Ambient Air Temperature Sensor measures the temperature outside the passenger compartment and is usually mounted inside or near the front bumper. The sensor provides input to automatic HVAC systems to help control the interior temperature of the automobile.

Weather Mate automatically updates accurate temperature and displays it in the app icon`s notification badge number.
The outside air sensor is a single point sensor designed to be mounted under an eave or on the North side of a building in a shaded location. The sensing tube pointed must be pointed downward to prevent any water or ice from settling in the sensing tube.

How do I adjust the outside temperature display?
ANSWER : If you notice that your vehicle’s outside temperature display is off by a few degrees, you can adjust it to a few different settings: roughly 5 degrees colder, or roughly 5 degrees warmer. To adjust the outside temperature display to make it more accurate, follow these steps:
1. Turn the ignition to On, while making sure the vehicle is completely stopped.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Use the +/- buttons to highlight Customize Settings, then press Source.
4. Use the +/- buttons to highlight The Computer Setup, then press Source.
5. Use the +/- buttons to highlight Adjust Outside Temp. Display, then press Source.
6. Use the +/- buttons to choose between ~ -5°F, ~ ±0°F, and ~ +5°F, then press Source.
