Heater won’t work from center vents

I've had this problem before. My heater was working perfectly fine but the one day it was hot so I turned on my AC and put the temperature to low. Once I turned my heat back on it blew hot for a few seconds then goes cold. The heat blows perfectly hot from the top and bottom vents but not the centeR vents. When I turn it to the "center vents" position after having it on just upper and Lower vents position, it'll blow hot for about 15-25 seconds then go cold again. I had this problem in the summer and it just stopped doing it. What could it be?
It seems that whenever I turn t

If the heater isn`t blowing hot air at you when you turn the system on, the blower fan might have a problem. Either it`s not getting electrical power or, more likely, the motor itself has simply burned out. A blower motor in an older vehicle is likely to burn out over time, and may need replacement.
If you suspect that your blower motor may be malfunctioning, it`s important to have it checked and replaced if necessary. As you can see, there are several reasons why your BMW car heater may be blowing cold air. These include thermostat issues, low coolant levels, a blocked heater core, and blower motor issues.
If there isn`t enough coolant in your system, the heater core will blow cold air into your car. Solution: If you confirm that a low coolant level is the source of your problem, you simply need to top off your coolant. You may want to check for leaks as well if you just recently refilled your coolant.
The most common reasons a BMW 325i heater isn`t working are a broken heater blower motor, a problem with the thermostat, or a failed heater blower motor resistor. Search our network of RepairPal Certified shops near you to speak with a technician about your issue. Oops!
A faulty or broken thermostat is the most common cause of your car`s failing heat. Stuck open or stuck closed, the part can not only cause issues with your heat but also with your engine`s cooling system. One becomes an issue of comfort, the other becomes an issue of “Oh no, I`ve borked my engine.”
Here are some of the most common causes of why air doesn`t flow out of your vehicle`s vents: Your air intake is clogged, meaning that air isn`t getting in from the outside at all or isn`t circulating properly. There is a blown fuse in the ventilation system. Electrical issues such as a bad relay.
The heater control valve controls the flow of hot coolant to the heater core. If your vehicle has no heat and the cooling system is properly bled, the valve may be faulty (stuck closed). You may also have a situation where the vehicle has heat all the time. This may be a valve that is stuck open.
Heater core: A clogged heater core restricts coolant flow, giving up little or no heat. Electric cooling fans: Due to a bad sensor, switch or controller, electric cooling fans running constantly prevent coolant (and the engine) from reaching operating temperature.
Not Enough Coolant

When you first turn your heat on the air can feel cool for a few minutes because the engine needs to warm up to create the heat that is used by the coolant and heater core. If you are not feeling any warm air after a few minutes you should check your coolant level.

When a radiator appears to be cold at the top but still warm at the bottom, the usual culprit is air trapped in the heating system. There is a very simple approach to fixing this, which is to bleed the radiator. Bleeding a radiator releases the trapped air, allowing your radiator to run more efficiently.
Four common reasons there isn`t enough hot air blowing out of your vents are: A Vent is Blocked. The Air Filter is Clogged. Leaky Ductwork.
While your vehicle`s heating system needs coolant to warm the interior, the engine needs coolant to keep it from overheating. If there is a clogged heater core, it will keep the coolant from flowing through the engine, causing it to overheat.
Common signs include inconsistent cooling, out-of-date software, and uneven air distribution, since the module controls the whole AC system.
The heater control valve (sometimes called the hot water valve) is used to control the rate at which coolant flows through the heater core. The valve is located on the heater inlet hose. Manually operated systems may use a cable, a vacuum motor or an electric solenoid to operate the valve.
Heater control valve bypass is not standard on vehicles; it is a modification. When bypass hoses are installed, the coolant in your car will always be circulating through the heater core – that means that if the core starts leaking, you won`t be able to turn it off.
A heater core is a radiator-like device used in heating the cabin of a vehicle. Hot coolant from the vehicle`s engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air.
If you find your furnace blowing cold air, you may have a dirty or clogged air filter. To make sure, remove the air filter and inspect it. If it`s clogged with dust, clean it with compressed air or wash it in warm water with mild soap or just buy a new one.

My dash board don’t work my front light work when I change my light into high beam and my back window won’t go down
ANSWER : As unfortunate as it is, your vehicle would be considered flood damaged. Diagnosing electrical problems in a flood damaged vehicle is nearly impossible. This would take many hours or even days to determine which wiring harnesses and circuits have been affected. Then nearly all of the wiring under the dash would likely require replacement as well as many sensors and switches. On a BMW vehicle, the amount of wires and switches are likely more than that of a lower end vehicle. Due to the inefficiency in cost, you would likely be able to purchase another BMW like yours for less than what it would cost to fix your car. Many insurance companies would consider this type of damage to total out the vehicle unfortuantely.

Just replaced head gasket, changed crack sensor new plugs. The check engine light is on, but dim, the only other light that the dash is a normal battery indicator. The fuel pump is not running when switch is turned on, the power windows don’t work, it turns over but not firing. It’s like only one part of the system is working. Also the heater fans work even if the switch is off.
ANSWER : I would first look at the diagnostic trouble codes. Those codes are available because the check engine light is on. If the fuel pump is not running (momentarily) at key on, that fault alone will prevent the car from starting as there will be no fuel pressure. Pump output and pressure can be directly tested and you can also check for electrical power to the pump. To find out why the engine will not run, the recommended diagnostic is a no start diagnostic. Dash, Tail/brake, dome, trunk, glovebox, and door lights won’t work, dash doing weird things.
ANSWER : Hi there. Sure would appear a lot is going on electrically all at once. This could be, a problem in the PDC (power distribution center). The PDC is typically located under the hood and contains numerous fuses and relays. I don’t believe any one fuse will resolve all of the electrical issues. There is a possibility, it is not a power supply issue. It may be, the result of a poor electrical ground common to the inoperative components. Proper circuit testing should be performed. This would confirm the cause of multiple electrical failures. I recommend having your vehicle’s electrical problems be diagnosed and repaired by a certified technician, such as one from YourMechanic.

Windshield wipers stopped working. They’ll suddenly stop working then suddenly start working again. Has been happening for a week.
ANSWER : The problem you are describing likely stems from an intermittent electrical fault in the wiper circuit. The windshield wiper system uses a small electric motor to move the wiper arms that you see on the windshield. That electric motor is controlled through a switch, relay, fuse, and wiring. One, or more, of those electrical components has failed although it is also possible that the mechanical arms are binding (seized, if the lubricant has dried out) thus causing the electric circuit to the motor to overload. Regardless of the underlying fault, if you request a non functioning wiper diagnostic/repair, the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Interior lights work but car won’t start and power locks won’t work 97 Honda passport
ANSWER : You possibly have a dead battery. Batteries that are "partly" dead can often still run lights, dash lights and so forth but will not have enough power to run the starter motor and start the car. The very first thing to do is be sure you have a fully, 100% charged battery that passes a load test. If the battery passes a load test be sure it is NOT a marginal pass in which case you should simply install a new battery to reduce diagnostic headaches. Batteries are a VERY important component in a car’s electrical system. Once you have a fully functioning, preferably new battery (fully charged before you leave the store), if the starting system still does not function, there are only a relatively limited number of causes. Broadly, either the starter motor/solenoid assembly is faulty or the electrical circuit supplying the motor has a fault. That circuit begins at the battery and includes grounds, wiring (some of which is very heavy cabling), fuses, relays, the ignition switch and terminations. Basically, the starter is either getting power or it isn’t. If the starter motor is getting power but it doesn’t work, the starter is condemned and replaced. Alternatively, if there is no power to the starter, then the starter circuit is traced until the fault in the circuit is found. Notably, faults can include high resistances, due to corrosion, wire strand breaks, or loose terminals, which can only be diagnosed using a voltage drop test. If you desire that a certified mechanic resolve this promptly, please simply request a no start diagnostic and the responding mechanic will get it diagnosed and repaired for you, including installing a new battery if required. Weak heater, is this a defect?
ANSWER : Having a poorly performing climate control system can be difficult. From what I’ve found, Nissans generally don’t have the best performing climate control when it comes to the heater. You’v stated that it can blow cold on one side and warm on the other. If you have dual zone climate controls, make sure they are set to the same temperature. If the climate zones are set the same, or you have a single zone climate control system, a trip to the dealer might be necessary to check the operation of the climate control and see if Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) NTB14-113 applies to your vehicle.

I have a 1995 Acura Integra GSR and my cluster won’t work, the back lights work but my fuel, temp, rpms, and speedometer
ANSWER : Using the wiring diagram from the factory service manual what you want to do is see if the gauges have either a common power source or a common ground. If they do, then basically you track down that circuit to find the interruption. Of course, that tracing may lead you to a common fuse or relay as well. If they all failed at the same time, there is a possibility of a unique failure point which, again, you have to track down using the wiring diagram. If no wiring fault is found, it is possible that the cluster is malfunctioning. If you want these steps performed by a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, please request an electrical component/circuit diagnostic and the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you.
