Door open/ajar sensor will not turn off .
The driver's side door sensor stays on even if the door is closed. The locks work fine. I found the door switch and manually pressed it. The sensor light did go off as long as I was pressing down on the button but came back on when I released it. I was told it was the the door jamb switch. What other possible causes could there be?

You may have a worn door latch. With someone in the driver’s seat watching the light, close the driver’s side door, and push in on the door evenly with the latch to see if the light goes out. If it does, then the latch or striker may be worn. I recommend having a certified mechanic from YourMechanic check both of those for excessive wear and replace the latch and striker if they are worn.

The driver side door wont open even though its unlocked what part do I need to get to fix the problem?
ANSWER : The drivers door inside panel will need to come off to reconnect the latch handle control arm. Sometimes the plastic clips that hold the rod on break and rod fall off and jams the door shut. The latch rod can be released by using a locksmith kit and lifting up on loose rod. See if the light dims after shutting all of the doors. If the light does not dim, then there is a door switch that has failed. Look at the switches on the cab where the door seals and see if any of the switched look damaged or at an angle. Most of the time the driver door switch fails for that door is used the most. Check each switch for power and see which door switch does not have power on the ground side when activating the switch. Replace the switch that does not work.
