Car showing various fault codes Ford (Transit?)

I want to ask if the code p1631 is always because the security system is blocking fuel entering the fuel nozzles

My car has 100000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
Hello – the P1631, if this is for a Ford Transit van as it appears, is most often a byproduct of a poor battery condition, with multiple cranking events before a successful start. I would check first for low starting voltage (while cranking). Resting voltage won’t tell you what you need to know. For assistance, I recommmend a hard starting inspection performed by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will come to your location, diagnose this problem, and give you an accurate assessment of damage and cost estimate for repairs. If battery condition is satisfactory – the P1631 code is, as you question, a problem with the security system (key problem).

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced mechanics :

One of the most common problems with the Ford Transit Connect is transmission issues. The transmission is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels and any problem with it can result in significant performance issues.
While some of these Transit vans may have two batteries, instead of just one, they all use the same size battery- an H6 (also known as a Group 48). These batteries are located not in the engine compartment, but underneath the driver`s seat.

Symbol may display with the message `Check Engine` inside the engine symbol. Typical issues result from an emissions fault, though faults can range significantly. Vehicle will need to be checked with diagnostic equipment.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2021 Transit Connect vehicles equipped with 2.5L engines. The bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission may degrade or detach. What should you do: Dealers will replace the underhood shifter cable bushing, and add a protective cap, free of charge.
The Ford Transit has an expected mileage of around 150,000 miles. However, if you take good care of your van and ensure that it gets all the regular maintenance it needs, you can expect a mileage of around 300,000 miles.
What`s the difference between the Transit and the Transit Connect? Size, basically. The larger Ford Transit is perfect if you are a tradesman or contractor and need to carry items to job or client sites. The more compact, fuel-efficient Transit Connect is ideal for around-town driving or navigating busy city streets.
Voltage in the system is approximately 450 volts DC.
it`s located inside the cabin under the driver seat.
A small, yellow engine-shaped light indicates that the car`s electronic system has detected a problem that needs to be checked. This warning light is known as the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
Just be sure to have your car inspected as soon as possible after the light turns on. Don`t neglect needed engine repair! If nothing seems out of the ordinary, you can continue driving the car. The cause could be anything from a faulty oxygen sensor to a bad MAF sensor.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014-2017 Transit Connect vehicles equipped with a Panoramic Fixed-Glass Vista roof. An improper bond may exist between the panoramic roof and the vehicle body and may result in wind noise, water leak, and in some cases, separation from the vehicle.
When the fuel injector clogs, it can cause the van to lose power. When it becomes clogged with dirt, it blocks the flow of fuel to the engine and reduces the vehicle`s power. You might also notice the engine misfiring, stalling, and/or creating a fuel odour.
Batteries can only be safely installed from a positive terminal to positive wiring and from a negative terminal to body ground. If the polarity is reversed damage will likely occur to the vehicle`s electrical system. Generally, a car battery will have a service life of 4 to 7 years.
What is the most reliable Ford Transit Connect engine? Our pick of the Ford Transit Connect engine range is the 118bhp 1.5-litre diesel, which seems to perfectly suit its need, offering pacy, reliable, economical performance. We recommend linking it to the six-speed manual gearbox for best results.
Ford currently imports the Transit Connect from Spain. The automaker last year developed a plan to produce a next-generation version, code-named V758, at its Hermosillo Assembly Plant starting in 2023.
Class A Based on Ford Transit Connect.
Today, all Ford EVs are equipped with batteries using a nickel cobalt manganese chemistry. Starting this spring, Ford will offer the less-expensive lithium iron phosphate chemistry on its Mustang Mach-E.
The Battery Management System preserves power so that your truck starts when you need it to. Courtesy lamps and headlamps stay on for ten minutes after the engine is off. Power points and USB ports stay on for up to 75 minutes after the engine is off. The radio will stay on for 60 minutes without engine power.
When discussing car battery voltage, we`re generally talking about a 12-volt battery. When we take a closer look, we see car battery voltage can range anywhere from 12.6 to 14.4. With the engine off, the fully charged car battery voltage will measure 12.6 volts. This is known as “resting voltage.”
Without the engine running, a fully-charged battery registers 12.6 volts. At 12.4 volts the battery is considered 75% charged and can still ignite your engine.
The Ford E-Transit can be charged using a Type 2 charging cable, compatible with most home EV chargers.
Yes, charging car batteries without disconnecting happens all the time. That`s the normal case, both for electric cars, and for the starter battery in a general car.
Whether it`s an improperly closed door, or the dreaded check-engine alert, dashboard warning lights are how your car communicates with you when something goes wrong. They light every time you start your vehicle, illuminated briefly as your car or truck warms up and makes sure all systems are safe and ready to go.
There are 3 different categories of warning lights; red, amber and green: Red warning lights mean you should stop the car as soon as it`s safe. Yellow warning lights mean that action is required. Green warning lights are for information only.

Replaced alternator on car 2 times each time shows it’s charging 14v let car run for a little bit then test drive and car voltage
ANSWER : There are reports that the replacement alternators will not communicate with the engine computer and will not charge correctly. I recommend using only the manufacturer approved replacement part. It can be new or remanufactured but approved for use in the vehicle. Some lower cost alternators on the aftermarket will have charging problems since they will not communicate with the ECM on the vehicle and will stop charging.

Can i retrieve CEL code from car … forgot what code it hade in my car .. put headgasket sealer and i erase the code ..
ANSWER : Once a trouble code is erased, it cannot be retrieved. The engine controller does not have a "recycle bin" like they have on Windows. If the car still has a problem, the code will come back up after some driving. However, the controller will not turn on the CEL until it has seen the malfunction on two separate "trips." A "trip" is a driving cycle where the car is started cold, driven until it is fully warm and through a certain number of accelerations, and shut down. So you might not see the CEL for a couple of days. As for the "head gasket sealer," I wouldn’t hold out too much hope of that solving a problem. At the very best it might put off the symptoms for a short while. If you need help interpreting codes that come up, or solving a head gasket issue, contact Your Mechanic. They can send a technician to your home or office to read the codes on your car and help you decide what to do.

My car shows the check engine light, the computer showed code P0455, and it shakes and vibrates at stops and during acceleration.
ANSWER : First, remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the code P0455, and drive the vehicle for a few days and see if the code comes back.

If the code comes back on, then either the gas cap needs replaced or there is a evaporative leak around the fuel tank area. Check all of the fuel lines, hoses, and tubes and see if there is any wet areas.

If all of the lines, hoses, and tubes are tight, then the purge valve maybe damaged and leaking. If you need further assistance with your emission system leak detection, then seek out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you.

I put the wrong key in my car and a few weeks later my car just shut down and it will not start I believe it’s the computer but…
ANSWER : Hi there. What had happened is the wrong key set the security to the vehicle. This is to prevent the vehicle from starting with the wrong keys. Try removing the battery cables (+) and (-) for 13 minutes. During that time, put the original key in the ignition and turn it on. Activate everything in the car even though there is no power. Then remove the key and hook up the battery cables. The computer should have reset and reset the security. If the security is still being tripped, then I recommend seeking out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you

Have a 1996 pontiac grand am. Need help understanding fault codes. P0102, P0113, P0122, P0135, P0141, P0440
ANSWER : Considering that you have multiple trouble codes present, I would recommend having a check engine light is on inspection performed by a qualified professional. Once this has been done, you will have a much better understanding of what is causing these trouble codes to exist in your vehicle. Consider YourMechanic for this inspection as it can be done from your home or office.

car won’t start and keeps showing error code P0129.
ANSWER : With a reoccurring code such as this, after replacing the sensor, it is time to test the wiring harness and connector at the sensor. The orange wire should have 5V. This would be the 5 volt reference. The black and light blue wire is the ground and the dark green and red wire is the MAP sensor signal the is returned to the PCM through the sensor. This code indicates the voltage from the MAP sensor to the PCM is greater than 4.9 volts or less than 2.28 volts. When this occurs, there is usually a short to ground or a short to power. You will need to check the voltage on the dk grn/red wire to know which it is.

A problem like this will often affect all or more than one sensor with that uses the 5V reference. If you find the 5V reference is high or low, it is often necessary to disconnect each sensor that uses the 5V reference while monitoring the reference signal. When the signal changes back to 5v and not above 4.9 or below 2.28 volts, you have found the bad sensor.

If once you have checked all of this you have not found the source of the short to ground or power, it is time to suspect the PCM. You will want to check the 5v reference, grounds and power pins directly at the PCM by back probing at the PCM connector.

This can be quite an undertaking to diagnose such a problem. If you lucky, you will find a wire that is broken or something along those lines. If you should require further assistance with this, I recommend the following inspection; Car is not starting inspection.

Good luck!

Can my car be driven safely on a limited basis with the car diagnostic codes listed below in the description?
ANSWER : All of these codes (P0121, P0638, P2106, and P2110) point specifically to problems with the throttle control systems. This means that it will be unsafe to drive at all until it is diagnosed properly and repaired. You may need a new throttle body assembly. I absolutely do not recommend driving it.

If you need assistance with getting this fixed, consider contacting a certified technician who has the necessary tools and experience to properly diagnose your trouble codes. Once this is done, an accurate repair can be made and your car will be suitable for the road once again.
