Will remaining air bags deploy in my 2007 Honda Civic if half of them already have?

My husband is driving a car that was already involved in an accident where approximately half the airbags have deployed. It was a t-bone accident on the left side of the vehicle. Only that side had the airbags deployed. Nothing has been changed, checked, or replaced. The car is still drivable.

My car has 175000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
Hello. If the vehicle has not been repaired since the last accident then the remaining airbags will not deploy. Since the last deployment the airbag light should be on and there should be trouble codes within the control module. When the light is on and there are codes then the system is shut down which will keep the remaining airbags from deploying. If you want them to work correctly then the system will need to be repaired with a new module and airbags.

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced mechanics :

The light coming on tells you that there`s a problem with your car`s airbag system. The first and most important thing to remember if your airbag warning light comes on is that, should you be involved in an accident, your airbags will not deploy.
In some cases, airbags can be replaced and fixed after deployment. If the airbag has deployed though, it will need to be replaced as it is no longer safe for use and cannot be effective moving forward.
Unfortunately, after airbags have been deployed, the entire airbag system will need to be replaced. In fact, it is against the law in most instances to refurbish or reuse previously deployed airbags.
For unbelted occupants, a front airbag will typically deploy when the crash is the equivalent of an impact into a rigid wall at 10-12 mph. For belted occupants, most airbags will deploy at a higher threshold — about 16 mph — because the belts alone are likely to provide adequate protection up to these moderate speeds.
It may correct itself once the battery is fully charged again, but if not the backup battery will need to be recharged along with a sensor reset. Your vehicle has many different sensors connected to different components.
Turn the ignition on and off.

After that, turn off the ignition switch right away and wait three seconds. Before starting the engine, go through the basic procedures a couple of times. Your car`s airbag light should illuminate for seven seconds before turning off completely if everything is done correctly.

If just one charge fires off, then it is possible for a deployed airbag to fire off a second time. Dual-stage airbags can have two chemical inflators or may actually be dual-stage stored-gas units containing two newer stored gas inflators.
This all happens in an instant, usually within 25 or 50 milliseconds. That translates to almost 200 miles per hour. The airbag then will deflate itself on its own once it deploys.

What do the air bag On and air bag Off lights mean on the dash?
ANSWER : Depending on whether the front passenger occupant classification system detects that the passenger front seat is empty, detects a child, or determines the passenger is an adult, it will turn on or off different lights, as well as controlling the air bags. Here’s what you should know:

Adult

If the system detects that an adult is present in the seat, the air bag On light will light up. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light will be off. The front air bag, the side air bag and the curtain shield air bag will all be active. The Seat Belt light will flash if the seat belt isn’t buckled.

Child

If the system detects the presence of a child in the seat, the air bag Off light will be turned on. The SRS light will be off. The front and side air bags will be turned off, but the side curtain air bag will stay on.

Empty

If the seat is empty, the air bag Off light will be on, the SRS light will be off, and the front and side air bags will be turned off. The side curtain air bag will still be active, though.

Tip

If the air bag Off light is on and the SRS light is on, it means there’s a malfunction in the system. Have the car inspected.

What should I do to care for the air bag system in my Honda Civic?
ANSWER : While your air bag system is designed to be largely maintenance free, there are a few things that you should do to properly maintain and care for it. Here’s what you need to know:

If the air bags have deployed, they need to be replaced. Seat belt tensioners may also need to be replaced at this time.
If your car was involved in a moderate to severe accident, your air bags should be replaced even if they didn’t deploy. The seat belt tensioners should also be replaced.
Never remove or try to modify any component of your air bag system (or your seat belts).

my husband just got in a car accident, the air bag didnt deploy on the driver side,it was a side collition..doesnt it still have to
ANSWER : The airbags may have programming to deploy only during a frontal impact and not for a side impact. The drivers airbag is designed to keep you from hitting the steering wheel in a frontal impact and will not help in a side impact. If you suspect a problem then have the dealer test it.

Hot air mixed with cold blows from air conditioning
ANSWER : Hey there. You will most likely have to have a mechanic bypass the heater coolant lines to have this resolved. Your A/C may not be controlling the air flow inside the evaporator correctly out of the vents and may be the blend door actuator stuck in the heat position. Have the AC system diagnosed first before bypassing the heater.

would 2010 honda civic engine fit in 2000 honda civic
ANSWER : The engine may fit but you would have two totally different wire harnesses, computer systems, theft systems, transmission controls, and sensors on the engines. They are all very different so anybody attempting this would have a very hard time getting this swap to work.

Cold mist/smoke like air comes out of the air vents when cold air is on.
ANSWER : If you are using regular outside air a/c instead of recirculated air you may be getting a large amount of outside air humidity and can cause a mist to come out of the a/c vents. You should make sure the a/c evaporator drain is cleared and drains freely or the water in the a/c cannot drain fast enough and the blower will pick up the water and blow it out the vents.

Service air bag and air bag light came on after i pulled horn fuse and put back in
ANSWER : Hi there. This may have simply been a coincidence of occurring. The airbag system will illuminate the lights when it detects a fault in the system. As this system does have the capability of detonating the airbags, I cannot stress enough that a qualified technician should perform an inspection to determine what has failed. This is a safety concern both ways for the driver and the technician. Unfortunately, Your Mechanic does not offer airbag services at this time. Please check with a local, qualified shop or the dealer as soon as possible.
