If you`ve done numerous repairs on the transmission and replaced your automatic transmission fluid and you`re still having problems, the ECM could be at the root of your problems.
The gearbox in a car is a component that enables the torque to change or changes the rpm speed of the engine. The input shaft connects to the engine on one side, and the gearbox on the other.
In general, it`s best to shift up around 3,000 RPMs (3 on your tachometer) and down at 1,000 RPMs (1). Low RPMs are best for efficiency, but every vehicle is different. If you shift any lower than 1.5, you`re likely to stall out.

1988 Chevy C60 dump truck. Grinding noise from transmission while in gear
ANSWER : You might want to remove both PTOs first. They may be seized or have bad bearings. You may also have burned out the input bearings. The transmission will need to be removed and torn down to see what the damage is to the bearings, gears and synchronizers. I recommend finding a reputable transmission shop to do the job.

ANSWER : It sounds like the radiator replacement did not go according to plan. The transmission fluid is cooled through the radiator as well as the coolant. Often times there are small plastic caps that are inserted into the transmission line connections on a new radiator. If the transmission lines were installed over these plastic caps, the transmission fluid would have been restricted from entering the radiator. This would have caused a pressure build up that likely resulted in the leak you have. I would recommend determining if this plastic cap is still on the radiator first. If so, remove the cap and top off the transmission fluid to resolve this issue.

Bought a 1999 Chevy Z71 for very cheap. The transmission is out. How should this be fixed?
ANSWER : Hi there. The 4l60e transmission could have two things wrong with it. Either the park arm is not disengaging inside the transmission making the transmission load up but not rotate the drive shaft or the transmission is low on oil. Check the oil on the transmission dip stick and see what the level is. The level must be checked with the engine running. If the oil level is at the full mark, then it is possible that the torque converter may have damaged the pump.
Remove a cooler line and put it into a bucket, and for a brief moment start up the engine and shut it off. If oil sprays out of the cooler line, then the pump is producing pressure. However, if no oil comes out of the cool line, then the pump is not working.

I have a 1998 ford ranger(AT) its shifting roughly, when i come to a stop, the truck wants to keep going, and as a result, the truck stalls out.
