Truck won’t start.

I was just driving and the truck died. I didn't know what happened. I have a full tank of gas. I did a spark test. I'm getting spark. Put a new fuel filter on. Did a fuel pressure check and it was sitting at 11 PSI. I put a small amount of gas in the throttle body and the truck started for a small amount of time. I know it's nothing like my timing or compressions. Transmission is brand new. Motor turns freely and has been kept up on its regular matinence. The motor just isn't getting the fuel it should? I have no idea what it could be. Possibly a bad fuel pump?

If you have spark and you have fuel pressure then the only thing left to test is the fuel injectors. You will need to have a fuel injector noid light to connect to the injector connectors to see if you are getting a signal from the engine control module.

If you are getting a signal but no spray from the injector, then test the resistance of the injectors. Depending on a throttle body or sequential injection system will require different action from here.

I recommend having a qualified mechanic diagnose the starting problem for you. Once this is done, an accurate repair can then be made.

Fuel Pressure

These late-`80s and early-`90s TBI injectors are intended to run at between 11 and 13 psi, although it`s typical to see the pressure down around 10 psi. Generally, a 1-psi change in fuel pressure—from 11 to 12 psi, for example—can be worth roughly an additional 4 percent fuel flow.

Low fuel pressure can lead to engine misfires, low acceleration, rough idles, and engine stalls. If your check engine light is on and your car has been stalling out, you may have a fuel pump failure.
High fuel pressure results in a rich air-fuel ratio because the increase in pressure forces more fuel through the injectors than required producing increased emissions (HC`s) and black sooty exhaust. These excessive hydrocarbons overheat and damage the catalytic converter.

The fuel pressure regulator is set for approximately 12 psi (30 psi on `94 & `95 BBC trucks). With a service range of 9 to 13 psi being considered good.
Low fuel pressure can also cause hard starting or a no start. Fuel injectors are designed to operate within a specific pressure range. Low fuel pressure can also be caused by a leaky fuel pressure regulator.
A faulty regulator can prevent the engine from getting proper fuel pressure, resulting in a vehicle that cranks but doesn`t start.
These include a bad fuel pump relay or control module, a blown fuse, a wiring fault, loose or corroded wiring connector at the pump, or even an issue with the anti-theft system. Until these other possibilities have been checked out and eliminated, the fuel pump should be the last thing that`s replaced.
If the fuel rail sensor is bad, then the correct fuel pressure may not be achieved, resulting in the absence of sufficient fuel required for starting up. You may find that the engine cranks and maybe even fire up a couple of times before immediately dying.
Fuel pressure for most vehicles should stay in a 5- to 10-psi range. But, techs should make sure to look at the service information for the specifications. Other data PIDs used to regulate the fuel pump include the engine position sensors.
Pressure for tbi system is around 9–12 psi.

Truck won’t start in morning. 2nd day now. Battery seems good.
ANSWER : Since the symptoms changed when you touched the battery terminal, it leads me to believe you may have a poor connection and the main battery terminals. If they are badly corroded or have any small cracks, the terminal may be too loose on the battery. The car crank but won’t start

I changed the fuel pump and truck ran great for 3 days. Now after 3 days, the truck dies. It will start running for a few minutes, then dies like before.
