My windshield had a crack in it from a rock that hit it on the freeway. So I just had it replaced. But now I am getting this message on my dash that says, “Service Front Camera.” I can remove the message, but it comes back on every time I startup my car. Is there a way I can reset it so I don’t have to take it to the dealership?
Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
No, a continuous warning means the system must require some sort of service. The camera is very delicate and may have been bumped or moved in the process of the windshield replacement. Visit the local dealer to have the system inspected to see if the part must be realigned or replaced.

The Cadillac XTS (short for X-Series Touring Sedan) is a full-size, four-door, five-passenger, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive luxury sedan from Cadillac based on an enlarged version of the Epsilon II platform shared with the Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Impala — and manufactured from 2013–2019 over a single …
Both the CTS vs. XTS offer leather seating surfaces, both offer heated and cooled front seats, both come standard with a backup camera, and both offer remote start. Overall, you`ll find a similar selection of luxury across the board. But, the main difference is that the XTS offers more interior and cargo room.
Cadillac XTS owners and lessees have submitted multiple complaints to NHTSA for recurring brake problems that could compromise their safety. Drivers have reported that their brakes may squeal, make clunking noises when released, and/or lock up in some driving situations.

A Cadillac can last over 200,000 miles and up to 20 years with proper maintenance, though we suggest avoiding the 2006 CTS if possible.
The easiest way to perform an ECU reset is by removing the fuse from the fuse box. It is a very simple process, and all you have to do is pull out the car key, remove the fuse from the fuse box, and then put it back after about 15 to 20 seconds. Doing this clears any long-term memory stored in the car`s ECU.
The XTS was a touch more powerful, but the new CT5 provides more fine-tuned performance by replacing the former`s 6-speed automatic transmission with its own sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission.

I have a 2013 cadillac xts. The ac stopped blowing cold air a couple years ago and all i had to do was turn it off for five minute
ANSWER : There are innumerable things that can go wrong with the A/C system and so the best thing to do is request an air conditioning system inspection and the responding certified mechanic will get this resolved for you. The possibilities that might account for the problems you are experiencing range from a malfunctioning expansion valve, low state of charge, moisture in the system, refrigerant leaks, faulty cooling fans on the condenser and so forth. If there is a leak, it will have to be repaired because leak rates in newer systems are very, very small and they have to be because the installed refrigerant charge is much lower than in years past. The only way to pin it down is to get the system professionally inspected and diagnosed. Once diagnosed, the mechanic will be in a position to give you a repair strategy to get the A/C fully functioning and he or she will estimate the cost of the required repair. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Is it possible to remove Bracket bolts without removing caliper pins?
ANSWER : The complete bracket and caliper can be removed this way. I have seen this many times where the caliper retainer slide bolt seizes. The reason is no one lubed the slides and pins when they did the brakes in the past. This was avoidable if they lubed them on previous brake jobs. You can also purchase a new caliper with the bracket in most cases as an assembly. If you want to have a mechanic assist you with this, a certified technician from YourMechanic can come to your car’s location to inspect your suspension and help perform this task.

2010 Cadillac SRX Service StabiliTrak message
ANSWER : Hello. If the vehicle is displaying a service message for the traction control system then it has detected an issue with the vehicle’s traction control system. If the vehicle has also been put into a power reduced mode then it is likely that the issue detected is considerable enough to potentially cause harm to the vehicle’s components, and so power reduced mode has been activated to reduce the possibility of damage to any components. If the issue has returned after a check of the ABS system then it is very possible that the two are related. The ABS system provides the signal that the traction control system uses to operate, and can cause symptoms similar to those you are experiencing if an issue occurs. If the light is back on then retrieving the trouble codes will likely shed some light on what the issue could be. As the issue present is affecting engine performance, I would recommend having a professional technician, such as one from YourMechanic, visit your location to diagnose what may be causing your issue.
