I have a 1999 chevy silverado 1500 ls v8 5.3 liter what is my amperage on my altinator?

Im needing to know what amp my altinator is so that I can find out what size serpentine belt I need.
Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
If you still have the original alternator installed, look at the numbers on the alternator. If you see a "K68" label (or part number 321-2104) you have a 105 amp alternator. If you see a "KG8" designation (or part number 321-2122) you have the 130 amp alternator. You can also measure the old belt circumference. If the belt circumference is 93.66 inches, that goes with the 130 amp alternator. If the belt is 92.98 inches, that belt is for the 105 amp alternator.

If you desire that the belt be procured and installed by a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, please request serpentine belt installation and the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Notes: 130 Amp.
The LS1 alternator produces 140 A and is a cheap viable upgrade for the RB Engine with a good quality conversion kit.
If you`ve got a basic, stock vehicle, chances are you don`t need a high-output alternator. Most factory alternators are rated at 65 to 100 amps and are capable of handling your vehicle`s basic necessities, such as headlights, gauges, fuel pumps, A/C, etc.
The average size alternator used in a vehicles` DC charging system is about 100 AMPS DC. This can power an inverter that will deliver about 1,200 watts @ 120 VAC.

Does it matter which brand fuel pump I put in my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500
ANSWER : The parts person was correct. The Delphi makes the original pump that manufacturer uses. You may use a different fuel pump if it puts out the same amount of pressure your fuel injection system needs. The system will not work if it is not getting enough pressure. The less expensive pump may or may not work as well as a Delphi pump. Make sure you put a new fuel filter in with the new pump. If you need some help wit the replacement of the fuel pump and filter, consider YourMechanic, as one of our mobile technicians can service the vehicle at your home.

89 Chevy 1500 Silverado stalls
ANSWER : First thing you’d want to do is try my video "how to fix the car that idles poorly." A lot of times, just taking the air intake off and cleaning the throttle body will keep it from doing that. If that’s not the case, then if you’ve got a vacuum leak, it is going to suck air and it’s going to stall. If neither of those fix it, you might need a new idle air control valve. That’s a very common problem. I recommend having the fault verified before moving with repairs. A technician, such as one from YourMechanic, can diagnose your car’s stalling issue and determine what repairs are needed.

I need a rack and pinion for my 2005 chevy silverado 1500, how much would that cost me
ANSWER : You can get a precise estimate by inputting your vehicle data into the "Get a Quote" panel at YourMechanic’s power steering rack and pinion service page. Broadly, though, to give you an idea of the cost, if you do not have a diesel engine or a hydraulic brake booster, it should require roughly two hours to replace the unit. As far as the part cost, that depends on your VIN number (there are variants of the unit). If you input your year, make, model and engine size at the service page, though, you will receive the estimate. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

Will a gas tank from a 1998 silverado fit my 2000 chevy silverado?
ANSWER : The main issue to consider in this case would be the length of the bed on each truck. The 78" (short bed) is the same on model years 1998 to 2000. The same goes for the 96" (long bed). As long as you are swapping short bed to short bed or long bed to long bed, the tank should fit.

Do u know the wheel lug measurement for a 06 Chevy trailblazer and a Chevy Silverado or Tahoe I have the trailblazer and in trying

1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4wd v8 Hello,I would like to know if it should hold pressure when off or is it normal to drain back
ANSWER : It sounds like you may be having an issue with your fuel pressure regulator. The fuel rail should retain pressure even after the engine is shut off. This enables the engine to be restarted easily the next time you want to drive. I would recommend having the fuel pressure tested to determine if the fuel pressure regulator is faulty. If so, replacing the fuel pressure regulator should resolve the problems you are having. Consider YourMechanic as this service can be performed at your home or office.

I have a 1992 Chevy Silverado 1500 that won’t go into gear but the clutch pedal is hard and it still want go into gear when runnin
ANSWER : You should first pump the clutch several times and then hold it down and release air from slave cylinder. Retry the clutch to see if clutch releases. If not then turn off vehicle and put transmission in gear and hold down clutch and make sure your direction in front or behind you is clear and crank motor to see if clutch is free to turn. If still not free then you have ha defective pressure plate and need to replace it. Before that look inside transmission inspection hole and have someone push clutch and see how far the release bearing is moving to release clutch pressure plate. If it does not move much then you have a bad clutch master cylinder or linkage. If it move more than an inch then you have a bad pressure plate a long as release bearing is pressing it in.
