How do I answer a call?

Although a mobile phone may connect to a bluetooth device, the device itself, in this case the OnStar program sometimes will not engage all functions. From what I understand – and I might be wrong so please don’t take this as 100% certainty – in order for you to access the hands free message log, the phone must be registered with OnStar; not just linked to the vehicle’s bluetooth. Since OnStar has a partnership with AT&T, and your phone is Verizon Wireless, this option is not available. I had the same problem on our Chevrolet two years ago and this was the reasoning behind it. I believe the dealership should have disclosed this information to you before purchasing the vehicle; but like many other things in car sales, this is often overlooked and assumed the customer knows. I believe the only solution to resolve this problem, as bad as it may sound, is to change your wireless service to AT&T in order to access this function on your vehicle’s OnStar program.
