Engine shuts down intermittently

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 with over 120k miles. My engine keeps shutting off when I come to a stop or when it sits in idle for a bit. The car will go completely dead. I have to put in park and restart. Once restarted, it then takes 30-45 seconds before the throttle will engage again. Sometimes after it shuts off the check engine light will remain on after it has been restarted. Some days it wont shut down at all, others it will shut down every time Im coming to a stop.
