Check engine light on and bogs down

After a rain and my truck sitting I start it and check engine light comes on and bogs down. Throws a p0743 and a p0741 code along with others. Sometimes it clears itself and sometimes it doesn't. It also happens when I turn left or if I hit a bump going slow
My car has an automatic transmission. I changed the solenoids in transmission pan, fluid and filter. The truck has 250k miles on it. The overdrive button on gear shifter will not illuminate when pressed and my third brake light was not working so I changed the bulb in it

A steady glow typically means something less serious but a flashing check engine light indicates that your vehicle`s engine is in serious trouble and service is needed immediately. If your check engine light is flashing in your Ford F-250, we highly recommend not to drive the vehicle and schedule Ford service today.
One of the most common reasons for seeing the check engine light on a diesel truck is the aftertreatment system. Diesel trucks have nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensors that measure what your car is putting out into the environment.
Your “Check Engine Light” is simply a warning light that has received information from a sensor connected to your vehicle`s ECM, or “engine control module”. It can be an indicator of needed maintenance, or it could also be warning you of a major component failure.
If the check engine light in your 2021 Ford F-250 starts flashing, that means that the problem needs precipitous attention and your Ford should be brought in today. This blinking light commonly indicates a severe engine misfire allowing unburned fuel to be drained into the exhaust system.
Flashing DEF Lamp and Solid Check Engine Lamp Indicates that DEF level is critically low, incorrect DEF type or an SCR system issue for more than five hours. Driver will experience a severe loss of engine power.
A loose gas cap is one of the most common reasons for the check engine light to go on. Check that your gas cap is screwed on securely and that it`s in good condition. If you have a tank of bad gas in the car, your check engine light may come on.
Can you drive a car with the engine light on? It`s okay to drive for a few miles, but be sure to schedule an inspection of the engine as soon as possible. If the check engine light comes on while you`re driving, don`t panic! Pay attention and see if the car is driving any differently than normal.
Check your gas cap first. Many vehicles have a loose gas cap indicator that will be triggered before your check engine light comes on. If your gas cap is loose or the seal is not tight, the vapor leakage can cause your fuel system to trigger the check engine light.
If the check engine light illuminates, it will either blink or remain constantly illuminated, depending on the problem. A blinking light, or in some cars a red light instead of a yellow or orange light, indicates a problem that needs immediate attention. Either way, you should have the vehicle checked by a mechanic.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEST PRACTICES

If the light is not flashing, check the gas cap. Oftentimes if the gas cap wasn`t tightened enough, the check engine light will display. If tightening the gas cap does not make the light go away, take the vehicle in to have the diagnostic codes looked up.

Engine Oil warning light

The yellow oil warning light comes on when either the oil temperature gets too high, or the oil level or pressure is too low. If the oil is not lubricating the engine effectively, it could lead to expensive or even irreparable engine damage, so it`s important to act quickly.

So how do you know when you have an emergency? You can judge how serious an issue is by looking at the warning light. The check engine light can show up in two ways: Solid yellow/amber light: Indicates a less urgent issue. Flashing light or red: Indicates a severe problem that needs immediate attention.
A check-engine light will shut itself off if the condition that caused it is remedied. So, if your converter is marginal, and you did a lot of stop-and-go driving, which creates high demand for the converter, that might have turned on the check-engine light.
What concerns can a loose gas cap cause, well a check engine light? A loose gas cap will not only let in dirt and grime, but it can also allow fuel vapors to escape. These vapors can trigger an error in the emissions system, which would light up the check engine light.
In most cases, a faulty camshaft position sensor will cause a vehicle`s check engine light to illuminate. This occurs when one or more timing-related diagnostic trouble codes are logged by a vehicle`s PCM.
In some cars, a yellow check engine light means there is a problem that needs to be investigated and a red or flashing light means there is a serious problem and you need to stop right away. Your gauges will help you to determine problems like overheating and low oil pressure.
How long can you drive with the check engine light on? Once you see the check engine light, it is safe to drive with the light on for 50 to 100 miles. This is because if the issue is with the sensors, then this will buy some time for it to reset, turning the check engine light off.
Clock some miles

To make sure the check engine light does not reappear, it`s recommended that you drive your car 30 to 100 miles. This enables the vehicle`s “Drive Cycle” to reset, as the various sensors need time to recalibrate.

A dirty air filter can cause your vehicle to throw a Check Engine code. During this instance, the Check Engine Light of your vehicle will turn on. The light turns on because your vehicle is sensing that its engine isn`t receiving enough air.
If your vehicle is revving inconsistently or your RPM gauge is up and down, this may be a sign your fuel injector needs a clean. A contaminated fuel injection system or worn fuel injector can often supply inconsistent amounts of fuel to the engine, resulting in poor performance. Misfiring.
A clogged air filter, broken injector or injector pump, faulty turbocharger, or broken EGR valve, can cause an imbalance of the air/fuel ratio, creating black exhaust. Oxidation of the Oil. When a diesel vehicle sits too long and isn`t driven regularly, the oil can start to oxidize.
A spark plug usually lasts about 30,000 miles, but cleaning them and maintaining them periodically lets your engine perform better and increases your plugs` lifespan. If you see rust, carbon, gunk, dust, or any type of buildup during the inspection, it may be time to clean them.
The most common causes of misfires are worn, improperly installed, and mishandled spark plugs, malfunctioning ignition coils, carbon tracking, faulty spark plug wires and vacuum leaks.
Low oil pressure is a common cause of a check engine light turning on, and it can seriously interfere with your car`s performance.

Check engine light refuses to go off after engine replaced
ANSWER : Hello there, you have a long series of issues going on with your 2013 Hyundai Sonata. If you keep getting a repeating oil light on than there is likely a fault in that system.

Since this fault has lasted after the engine was replaced it could be a oil pressure sensor, wiring harness fault, ECU fault, oil pump, oil strainer clogged, or low oil pressure.

To diagnose this issue properly you need a complete vehicle inspection to start from square one and identify the root cause of all this.

While driving on freeway truck goes into a limp mode, and the check engine light, abs light, parking break light, service brake
ANSWER : It is possible that you could be having an issue with your powertrain control module. This is somewhat of a common problem on many GM vehicles. I would recommend having your vehicle inspected by the dealership to determine if the powertrain control module is functioning properly. If not, a reflash of the powertrain control module may resolve the issue but often times it must be replaced.

2006 Ford Mustang has check engine light on
ANSWER : There are countless potential causes for your illuminated check engine light. The mechanic manually turned off the light, but it came back on because the problem has not been fixed. The first place to start is retrieval of the stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). These codes serve as a starting point for any further diagnostics a mechanic may perform. Codes will be stored anytime the check engine light is on. Since the first mechanic was unable to fix your concern, I recommend giving the professionals at YourMechanic a call. We offer expert check engine light diagnosis and repair.

Car started to slow down and then the check engine light, battery, and engine oil light came on. What could cause this?
ANSWER : Hi there. It is possible that the battery cable came loose or the wires to the oil pressure sensor has came loose or failed. Check the battery cables and make sure that the terminals are tight and clean. Check the wires to the oil pressure sensor and make sure that they are connected and not broken. If everything looks good, then the oil pressure sensor may have failed. Plus, check the computer for codes and see what is stored. This will lead you to the part that could have failed. I recommend replacing the oil pressure sensor then checking to see if the lights will go out. If you need further assistance troubleshooting your vehicle, then seek out a technician, such as one from Your Mechanic, that can assist you with the warning lights that came on.

p0011 code, check engine light one, changed bank 1 vvt solenoid and check engine light still on?
ANSWER : The P0011 code is typically caused by oil issues with the car. I would particularly make sure the engine oil level is not low. The VVT solenoid relies on proper oil levels to do their job. If they don’t have enough oil, they won’t work. You can have a mobile technician from YourMechanic visit your home or office to inspect the Check Engine Light for you. A certified technician from YourMechanic can retrieve the OBD codes at your home or office.

Traction light/reduced engine power and check engine light coming on
ANSWER : Hello. From what you describe, it would appear that your vehicle may be experiencing some sort of intermittent wiring or sensor issue. If the problem occurred again after driving over a bump, then it may be possible that a damaged or loose wire is shorting or having contact issues. A common issue that can cause stalling is a faulty crank position sensor or wiring. I would carefully examine the engine for any loose or damaged wires. If the Check Engine Light comes back on, I would recommend having the trouble codes scanned before resetting the computer.
