You should first make sure you are using a good code key and if you have a second key then try it first before continuing. The key should turn the key to the on position to see if the theft light comes on and then goes off indicating the theft system has been deactivated. If the light that is for theft stays on with the key in the on position then you should try the second key to see if system still is active. If system is still active then you will need to have the theft system scanned using a factory type scanner to get codes for faults in the theft system and then pinpoint test the code or codes received.

Leave the key there for 15 minutes; it doesn`t always take that long, but it can. After that time, check to see if the anti-theft light has gone out, if one was lit up.
If your ECU controls the anti-theft system, disconnecting the battery may lock you out of your car. Like desktop computers and most other electronics, disconnecting the battery cable for a short period will not fully reset your ECU due to the residual power remaining in the circuits.
However, there are a few things you may do if you`re wondering how to stop the anti-theft mechanism without a key. One common method is to press and hold the “unlock” button on the car door for around 10 seconds; this should turn off the security system.

Remove The Alarm`s Fuse
The exact location of the fuse can differ from model to model. But it`s generally beneath the hood of your car. Check your owner`s manual and look for a picture or a diagram indicating the location of the alarm`s fuse box. Take a pair of pliers and use them to remove the appropriate fuse.
Locate the fuse box containing the alarm fuse. It is usually located on the dashboard by the driver`s door, in front of your left knee. You may find the alarm fuse in this fuse box. If you do not find an alarm fuse inside of the car, look in the fuse box under the hood on the driver`s side.
You can remove an alarm sensor from your door by deleting the zone from the system and taking the sensor and its magnet off the door. Wired door sensors will require you to disconnect the wires from the sensor and remove them from the wall. The complete process is actually very easy.
A car`s anti-theft system may activate if your key fob battery is dead and hasn`t disabled the system. Make sure the battery is installed correctly in your key fob. If the battery is correctly installed, replace it with a fresh battery and try again. Step 2: Check your door lock cylinder.
It can be difficult to manually turn off your car`s anti-theft system if you don`t have a key fob, but it is achievable. If there are no obvious little buttons or levers on the ignition cylinder that could disarm the device, try gently wiggling the key inside the cylinder; this might be enough to do it.

Car alarm is going off when using clicker to unlock the car
ANSWER : The content theft deterrent (CTD) alarm will sound when either the door is opened without using the key to unlock the driver’s door, or when the door is unlocked without using the unlock command from the keyless entry transmitter. My guess is that, for some reason, the control module is not recognizing your key fob. Instead of locking your doors with the remote, try locking them manually. This should solve your problem. You can also deactivate the CTD by doing the following:
Press either door lock switch.
Use the key to unlock the driver’s front door.
Press the unlock button of the transmitter.
Insert the key into the ignition and turn the vehicle on.

ANSWER : When the alarm was installed the alarm output wire for the lights need to be tied into a parking light circuit or turn signal circuit. Whom ever installed your unit hooked the light output wire to only the left turn lights. There is not a problem and if you wanted it to be fixed it would need to be rewired.

ANSWER : If you now have a key that fits the door you will have to hook up all the wires back to normal. After this is done, disconnect the battery and wait at least ten minutes. With all of the doors closed and locked, reconnect the battery. Unlock the driver’s door and see if the ignition turns and starts the vehicle. If the theft light is still flashing then try and unlock the drivers door to see if the alarm stops and the vehicle starts.
