98 zj 5.2 v8 with coolant leak but not overheating

My grand cherokee is leaking coolant around the serpantine belt somewhere i think an also had a breif moment where power steering spudderd. Have been told its more then likely my water pump. Want to know for sure before i spend the money on one and replace it myslef

These engines prefer to run from 195-220 on average. I used to run with a 185 thermostat and it didn`t like highways in the winter. As long as the temp matches the load condition (high load = high temp) then you should be ok.
