2006 Infiniti G35 has check engine light on for code P0153

Will the light go out if I get a fuel injection service as Infiniti has recommended code p0153 and code p01614 code U1000 and p01815 I understand that my fuel injectors could cause all of this to happen

My car has 92000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Experienced mechanics share their insights in answering this question :
Code P0153 is for Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Slow Response Bank 2 Sensor 1. It’s true that this code can be set by one or more failed fuel injectors causing a lean condition, but there are several other potential causes as well, such as a failed air/fuel ratio sensor. Those other codes you have appear to be unrelated; P1614 has to do with the security system and P1815 has to do with the transmission. There is a possibility that U1000 is causing one or more of these codes, however. This code stands for CAN Communication Line Malfunction and can be set when there is a problem with one or more control modules. A problem with a control module can result in all kinds of unrelated codes being set. There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) ITB06-004A that states code U1000 can be set by a bad engine control module (ECM) ground. Cleaning the ground often solves the problem. The only way to know for certain is to have your vehicle inspected firsthand. I recommend having a professional, such as one from YourMechanic, fix your check engine light concern.

How to Identify and Fix Common car Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced mechanics :

When a fuel injector is failing, it usually will create the symptom of either too much or too little fuel going into the engine (sometimes no fuel at all). The engine control unit (ECU) can detect any fluctuations in the fuel injected into the motor, and consequently, can trigger the check engine light to come on.
The most common reasons an INFINITI G35 has a check engine light are an emissions system component, a sensor, or a catalytic converter. Search our network of RepairPal Certified shops near you to speak with a technician about your issue.
Your check engine light may illuminate if there is a problem with the computer output circuit, the catalytic converter, an oxygen sensor, spark plugs or oil pressure. In other cases, the code reader may determine that there are issues with aftermarket accessories, the mass airflow sensor or even the battery.
Clogged Fuel Injectors

Over time, the fuel injector nozzles can become clogged with rust, corrosion or debris. Once clogged, the fuel injectors may not add the correct amount of fuel to the cylinders, and the vehicle may not start up at all.

One of the obvious symptoms of a clogged fuel injector is the lighting up of the “Check Engine” light in your dashboard. The fault codes usually associated with a clogged fuel injector can range from misfire codes to lean codes.
A loose gas cap is one of the most common reasons for the check engine light to go on. Check that your gas cap is screwed on securely and that it`s in good condition. If you have a tank of bad gas in the car, your check engine light may come on.
It is possible that your automobile`s check engine light has come on because of a false alarm. This being said, if the engine control module (ECM) turned on the check engine light for no reason, the ECM could be malfunctioning itself. This crucial part is the heart of your automobile.
Your Check Engine Light may indicate a simple problem that`s easy to fix—such as a loose gas cap that needs to be replaced. It could also be a warning of a serious problem that could damage your engine components. Your Check Engine Light blinks or glows depending on what`s wrong with your vehicle.
Do not delay. Continuing to drive with the check engine light on can potentially cause serious damage and costlier repairs. Moreover, you will likely see diminished fuel efficiency and performance of your vehicle. You should bring your vehicle to a qualified service center as soon as possible.
If your main reason for buying an inexpensive scanner is to reset the check-engine light, know this: clearing the code and turning the light off doesn`t mean your issue has gone away. Some check-engine light warnings are temporary—like the aforementioned loose fuel-filler cap or a rare engine misfire.
With your fuel injectors safely removed, you can now clean them individually. Using a soft-bristled brush, you can apply your carburetor cleaner to the outside. Use a fuel injector jumper in order to open up the fuel injector, then spray your cleaner through each side of the fuel injector.
P0200 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for “Injector Circuit Malfunction”. This can happen for multiple reasons and a mechanic needs to diagnose the specific cause for this code to be triggered in your situation.
Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

It does this by telling the fuel injectors when and how long to fire. The ECU often controls other functions like the fuel pump and ignition timing.

The Engine Misfires

Dirty fuel injectors may cause your vehicle`s engine to misfire. This problem makes the motor feel as though it is sputtering — sending vibrations through the car. Such misfires can happen when a fuel injector problem mixes up the delicate balance between fuel and air entering the engine.

More than likely, the problem is the fuel sensor, which is built into the fuel sending unit. This assembly is mounted in the gas tank. This is a common problem with vehicles like yours. Symptoms include incorrect fuel gauge readings and an illuminated Check Engine Light.

p0011 code, check engine light one, changed bank 1 vvt solenoid and check engine light still on?
ANSWER : The P0011 code is typically caused by oil issues with the car. I would particularly make sure the engine oil level is not low. The VVT solenoid relies on proper oil levels to do their job. If they don’t have enough oil, they won’t work. You can have a mobile technician from YourMechanic visit your home or office to inspect the Check Engine Light for you. If you follow through with a repair with us you will be reimbursed for the cost of inspection.

While driving on freeway truck goes into a limp mode, and the check engine light, abs light, parking break light, service brake
ANSWER : It is possible that you could be having an issue with your powertrain control module. This is somewhat of a common problem on many GM vehicles. I would recommend having your vehicle inspected by the dealership to determine if the powertrain control module is functioning properly. If not, a reflash of the powertrain control module may resolve the issue but often times it must be replaced.

check engine light O2 sensor already replaced same codes still popping up after replacing old O2 sensor
ANSWER : Hi there. What you received from the parts store was a code retrieval, not a diagnostic. The codes are set when a fault is detected against normal operating parameter. The computer does not know what caused the fault, only that the fault meets the criteria for this code to set. There could be a problem in the wire harness, converter, or the ECM. The code and data are needed to properly assess the direction that a diagnosis needs. I strongly suggest having a qualified technician perform an inspection to avoid replacing unnecessary parts. Your Mechanic has several available technicians that can assist you with a check engine light inspection.

2006 Ford Mustang has check engine light on
ANSWER : There are countless potential causes for your illuminated check engine light. The mechanic manually turned off the light, but it came back on because the problem has not been fixed. The first place to start is retrieval of the stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). These codes serve as a starting point for any further diagnostics a mechanic may perform. Codes will be stored anytime the check engine light is on. Since the first mechanic was unable to fix your concern, I recommend giving the professionals at YourMechanic a call. We offer expert check engine light diagnosis and repair.

P2196 OBD-II Trouble Code. came and went in 24 hours. 4 starts.
ANSWER : If the mechanic tested the output (functioning) of the oxygen sensor, especially according to the protocol at this link and found that the sensor was non functioning at that time, what you might be experiencing is a "failing" oxygen sensor and so the latest instance of Code P2196 might be explained by that. A complexity though is Code P2196 has many causes other than a failing oxygen sensor including: a faulty fuel pressure regulator; MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor; ECT(Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor or damaged ECT wiring; leaking or stuck open fuel injector or injectors; and spark plugs and/or coil pack. Basically, if the Code (P2196) recurs, the oxygen sensor output can be re-tested but the mechanic will hopefully be aware of all these other possible causes of that Code setting. If the Code recurs, you can request a check engine light diagnostic and a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, will get this resolved for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.

ANSWER : Hi there. When an error code is created, it is often stored in the ECU until it is cleared by a professional mechanic during a check engine light inspection. It is possible that this is the source of your error light, especially if you are not having any further problems starting your vehicle.

Check engine light refuses to go off after engine replaced
ANSWER : Hello there, you have a long series of issues going on with your 2013 Hyundai Sonata. If you keep getting a repeating oil light on than there is likely a fault in that system.

Since this fault has lasted after the engine was replaced it could be a oil pressure sensor, wiring harness fault, ECU fault, oil pump, oil strainer clogged, or low oil pressure.

To diagnose this issue properly you need a complete vehicle inspection to start from square one and identify the root cause of all this.

Check Engine Light comes on after starting pickup
ANSWER : Hello there, thank you for asking about your 1992 Isuzu Pickup. A professional will have the correct equipment to read OBD1 codes. Retrieving the diagnostic trouble code(s) is the first place to start when diagnosing your vehicle. Increasing RPMs changes engine load, which can in turn affect many different sensors and components, causing the Check Engine Light to illuminate. The only way to narrow down the options and find the culprit is through in person diagnosis with an OEM compatible scan tool. A certified technician from YourMechanic can retrieve the OBD codes at your home or office.
